Mum + Baby Yoga
Motherhood is an exciting time, but can leave us feeling tired and low on energy. As new mums, we can often feel weak in areas that were previously strong and we ache in areas we find difficult to relax.
This course is a wonderfully gentle way to establish a regular yoga practice, and will arm you with the awareness and confidence in your body to attend a general yoga class. In each class we focus on:
- Reconnecting with the pelvic floor
- Building strength and tone in the abdomen and lower back
- Postures to relieve tension in the upper body
- Modifications to common yoga poses
- Breathwork and relaxation techniques to calm the nervous system and relieve stress.
No yoga experience is necessary. Classes are suitable for babies from the age of 8 weeks to pre-crawling. Yes! Sometimes your baby will cry during class, and that's ok! You are encouraged to breastfeed, change, cuddle and comfort baby when needed, but we also understand that sometimes babies (and mums too) are just having a shitty day, and need to have a cry. Go for it babies. You and your mum are in a safe and supportive environment.
Places are strictly limited to 8 students, ensuring that you get the most out of your practice. Bookings are essential, and can be made here.
Testimonials for Mum + Baby Yoga
'Lucy's teaching style is so nurturing and kind. I am forever grateful to her for providing such a safe and supportive environment to take conscious breaths, share laughter, and enjoy precious bonding time with my baby – all in an hour of blissful yoga. The moments spent in her classes are some of those that I will cherish forever.

'I just loved your mum and baby class! It allowed me some precious one on one time with my baby while my older child had time with dad, and also to reconnect with my body after childbirth, correct my posture and take a mental time out. I couldn't recommend this class enough!'
— Leanne and baby Aiden
'I remember Lucy welcomed 8 week old Tommy and I into her mum and bub yoga class and we felt instantly at home. She has a relaxed, soothing (and sometimes downright hilarious) way about her teaching that puts you right at ease. Knowing that it's no problem if your baby cries, or if you spend 90% of the class feeding them, and you're applauded simply for making it in the door to class with your baby, was a lovely feeling. I'd recommend Lucy to anyone!'

'I loved our yoga classes last year and look back at that time as very precious and peaceful. The classes were perfect for me, allowed me to slow down, catch my breath and begin to work on strengthening my body and mind.'
