Pregnancy yoga is specifically tailored to suit pregnant women, their partners and support people through every stage of their pregnancy, whether you are in your first or fourth trimester*. Classes are small, ensuring that students are given the attention they need, and run for 60 minutes. Common poses are modified to suit your changing body, as well as other practices to help strengthen, stabilise and release the body in preparation for birth. We work with maintaining stamina as well as bringing in deep relaxation to your practice.
Lucy is a registered prenatal yoga teacher with a wealth of experience working with pregnant women and their families, as well as drawing on her experiences through her own very different pregnancies.
Pregnant students are welcomed and encouraged to join Lucy's General and Back to Basics classes – please arrive at least 10 minutes early to ensure Lucy can discuss appropriate modifications with you.
These classes are taught in a LGTBQI safe space. All welcome.
No Pregnancy-specific classes are currently running, however if you would like to enquire about private sessions or attending general yoga classes, please get in touch here.
*Fourth Trimester?! Yep, that's right. I believe that parents need yoga more than ever in those early months of giving birth. It's a good idea to take it easy for the first 6-12 weeks, however if your doctor has given you the ok to exercise at your 6 week check up, then get in touch to see how you can take it easy at yoga too.
