Yoga for pregnancy workshops – September

When I was pregnant, I found myself visiting yoga studios where I was lumped in a corner with not much to do, sent home by cautious teachers, or encouraged to join in with inappropriate postures that left me hobbling out the door. Sound familiar? 

Join me on the first Saturday of every month for a modified yoga practice designed around shifting hips, increased hormones and growing bellies. These informative and practical workshops will equip you with skills to modify and adapt a range of poses while still getting the benefits of a well-rounded practice. Take these skills into a regular home practice or bring them to your regular yoga class. 

Areas covered include:

  • Sun salutations
  • Standing poses
  • Backbends
  • Forward bends
  • Inversions

Each workshop will offer opportunities for you to move your body while maintaining strength, and includes a deep relaxation to finish.

Time: 11.45am–1.15pm

Cost: $40/$35 concession

Lucy is a registered prenatal yoga teacher with a wealth of experience working with pregnant women and their families, as well as drawing on her experiences through her own very different pregnancies.

These classes are taught in a LGTBQI safe space. All welcome.
